I believe that books are the best things to invest your time in.
Reading always takes me to places, on thrilling adventures to unknown lands, and yet not fail to make me feel at home.
The wind blowing from the window makes my skin shrink in pain. Winters aren’t morning-friendly.
I juggle various chores, struggling, groggy and lazy. The routine yet moves at a slow pace and then it gets a speed boost.
I turn all the vessels upside down, frantically searching for my lunch box. After countless search attempts,I give up. I can always buy a huge burger.
There is a strange kind of pleasure in reading. It could be a magazine, a newspaper or a romantic novel… whenever I pick a piece crafted of words magically woven into sentences to bring out meaning, I change a little. I am teleported to a crime scene, a castle in Winterfell or on Bakers Street within a few seconds.
Life isn’t always pink and pretty. Sometimes it gets dark and tiring. And we start to feel that there is no way out. Just like life, communication with people also doesn’t always run smooth. There are arguments, understanding issues and many other hurdles on the way.
For a major part of our day, we are surrounded by various people. They may be our family members, our classmates, our friends, our colleagues. We may try to avoid human company for as long as possible. But there comes a day when there is no other option left. Only thing that could be done is that we need to go out and talk to people, have conversations with them and build a good harmony with them.
People skills are among my most favourite skills. There are some super humans out there who can talk to almost everybody and anybody. They can have long conversations with ease and comfort. They are so good at dealing with people that others are eager to talk to them. People are eager to work with them.
