Happy New Month!
Another month has passed, and a new one is already here to welcome us with open arms.

At the beginning of the month, I thought of selecting a few quotes which will be my guiding lights during this September.

And I thought of sharing them with you, in hopes that they may inspire you as well. Let’s go glance!

To truly cherish the things that are important to you, you must first discard those that have outlived their purpose.

Marie Kondo (The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying)

As I have previously mentioned in From Reading to Cleaning: An Unexpected Path to Mental Peace, I am very fond of Marie Kondo’s cleaning and organization lessons.

This quote is on the list to remind me that, to make room for new things in my life, I must let go of the old.

I used to dream about escaping my ordinary life, but my life was never ordinary. I had simply failed to notice how extraordinary it was.

Ransom Riggs (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children)

I am a fanatic. Fantasy is my favorite genre. And sometimes, I get so charmed and captivated by my fantasy shows and magical books that I forget that my real life’s wonderful.

This one’s here to keep me grounded to reality, with love.

You are free to choose, but you are not free to alter the consequences of your decisions.

Ezra Taft Benson

Life is one great adventure, but it’s responsibility too.

This one is for keeping in mind to choose well because everything in life comes with a price.

Time doesn’t heal emotional pain, you need to learn how to let go.

Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

No matter how wonderful my life is, or how many efforts I make, I won’t be happy all the time. Some things will never be fixed.

This one is to teach me that I won’t always be happy and it is okay. There’s no shame in feeling pain.

Loving getting there as much as being there.

Sanaya Roman

You know this one for sure. We keep achieving one goal after another without actually soaking in the joy of doing it.

This one is to allow nudge myself to enjoy the process as much as the end goal.

Which one of these quotes is your favorite? Or do you have a quote which is your guiding light this September? If yes, do share. I am all ears!

Hello Pallavi, I loved these wonderful quotes. Also you’ve framed them too well.

From these my favorite quote was “You are free to choose, but you are not free to alter the consequences of your decisions.” by Ezra Taft Benson.

I learnt this the hard way. But it was a great lesson for me.

Hi Nicole!
You know what, I also learned the lesson the hard way.
And it’s a great way to learn.
What do you say?

I agree, learning by ourselves and facing the consequences is the best way to learn something. Sometimes things may be unpredictable but we are sure of ourselves.

Hey Pallavi!
I am 3 weeks late to this post.😅
This concept of choosing quotes for a month is new to me…I use affirmations for special events. But your concept is also good.
*Time doesn’t heal emotional pain, you need to learn how to let go*
I like this one the best.
